Together Travel

This coming Wednesday March 22nd, 2023, as a part of our Hebrew High Mitzvah Corps programming, we have a trip planned to Together on 24th St. Together is a great organization with a history of collaboration with Temple Israel and our clergy. Their mission is to prevent and end hunger and homelessness in Omaha and surrounding communities. While there, we will tour the facility with the CEO and participate in a hands-on activity supporting the mission of Together. We will also discuss the interventions Together provides, the causes of homelessness and food insecurity, and the scale of the issues.

We hope your teen will join us. In order to lower the barrier for participation and ensure our group arrives together, we will be providing transportation to and from Together. Dinner will be a “prepare your own to-go bag” served at 6:00pm, so please try to get here on time as we will leave at 6:15pm. In addition, we anticipate returning at about 8:15pm.

Jennie Gates Beckman will be driving a 15-passenger van and I will be riding along to provide community-building content on the ride. In order to get accurate numbers and proper permissions, I ask that you please fill out this form. If your teen will be meeting us at Together at 6:30 that is perfectly acceptable (but please respond to this email so we know to expect them).
