L'taken Trip 2021-22
Come join Temple Israel on the RAC's L'taken trip on Jan. 21-24! Join us in Washington, D.C. for a fun and meaningful weekend with teens from coast-to-coast and learn about the Jewish imperative for justice and the Reform Movement’s advocacy positions on critical public policy issues. Students spend the weekend learning about major social justice issues and the Jewish values that inform the Reform Movement’s advocacy, culminating on Monday when everyone heads to Capitol Hill to lobby their representatives in Congress on an issue of their choice.
PRICING AND SIgn-up information
The trip to L'taken is generously subsidized by Temple Israel, but is costly to put on. We ask families to pay $600, which includes transportation, registration for the event, meals and hotel. Scholarship is available by contacting Ben Cohen and Nate Shapiro.
There are two steps for registration:
-Register with the RAC here to put in information including vaccine confirmation. You will need to know your congressional district. For most of us, it is Nebraska's 2nd congressional district (NE-02). Please note all billing is through Temple Israel and we will pay the final invoice to the RAC.
The final deadline for registration is November 9.
