Rabbi Rex Perlmeter was ordained at the HebrewUnion College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1985, and went on to serve asspiritual leader of Temple Israel of Greater Miami and the Baltimore HebrewCongregation. After serving on staff at the Union for Reform Judaism for fiveyears, he has gone on to found the Jewish Wellness Center of North Jersey, apractice dedicated to supporting all engaged in "seeking Oneness in body,heart, mind and soul." In addition to having trained as a Jewish MindfulnessMeditation Teacher and a Spiritual Director, he received his Masters of SocialWork from New York University in May 2016. Rex also serves at the CentralConference of American Rabbis as Special Advisor for Member Support andCounseling and as an Adjunct Faculty member at HUC-JIR, offering spiritualdirection for rabbinic and cantorial students. Rabbi Perlmeter will leada teen session on Wednesday, January 6, and he will join us for Shabbatservices and Shabbat morning study on January 8 & 9. More details to come!
