Affinity Groups

No matter who you are or where you are in life, there’s a place for you at Temple Israel. Our Affinity Groups offer opportunities to meet new people, build friendships, and explore Jewish life in community. in ways that feel authentic, engaging, and fun.

These groups are developed and built around shared interests, life stages, and experiences — and they’re open to anyone looking for connection. Whether you're showing up solo or with family, whether you’re looking for learning, laughter, or a little of both, we invite you to find your people here.

Explore our current Affinity Groups:

• Triple Chai Plus -  A welcoming space for our 54+ community to connect, learn, and socialize.
• Atid - For those in their 20s and 30s looking to build community, celebrate Jewish life, and have a good time doing it.
• TISH -  A group for young Jews, 30s-ish and 40s-ish — single or partnered, parents or not, Jewish or Jew-ish — to gather, grow, and support one another in a Temple-ish community. .
• Rosh Chodesh -  a monthly gathering for women of all generations to welcome the new Hebrew month through connection, creativity, and reflection. Each month offers a unique experience — whether it’s hands-on, spiritual, cultural, or just fun, no two gatherings are ever the same
• Holy Smokes -  A summer favorite: Join Rabbi Sharff for Torah, stogies, and scotch. For the men of Temple Israel, it’s a relaxed evening of camaraderie and conversation.
• Yarn-It -  Whether you knit, crochet, needlepoint, or just love yarn — join us on Wednesday mornings to stitch, share, and learn together.
• Drop-in Mah Jongg -  New to the game or a seasoned player? Come by Friday mornings for coached play and friendly competition.
