Register Online. Preston Love, Jr. is a community leader, activist, journalist, playwright, performer, lecturer, award-winning author and consultant. He is the founder and director of Black Votes Matter Institute of Community Engagement and The Institute for Urban Development. He is the 2020 Nebraska Democratic Party endorsed candidate for the US Senate. He is a former UNL football player and received his B.S. degree from UNL as well as a Master’s Degree from Bellevue University.
