Join us for an interactive education experience with our Artist-in-Residence, Yahala Lachmish. She is an Israeli Cantor of Middle Eastern descent and a modern Pay'ton (Poetess). She will be covering the history of Piyyutim, an ancient form of Judaic Poety, some of which have been included in our prayer books over the course of centuries. She will also discuss how Piyyutim differ around various parts of the world and will also be sharing some original poetry.
