Passover Community Seder

Thursday, April 6, 2023 15 Nisan 5783

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

While we might not be crossing borders, we are inviting you to make the short trek to us for an all-ages Community Passover Seder. As we re-enact our own leaving of Egypt with all of the ritual foods and songs, we also ask those attending to bring that special item you’d pack in your go-bag, that one meaningful item that would fit in the suitcase the size of a carry-on suitcase if you had to leave within a moment’s notice. We will share with each other why these particular items have meaning for us and enjoy a delicious meal, including looking for the afikomen after dinner. We look forward to learning something new about our many community members, young and old, as we explore what it means to leave Egypt ourselves. We do ask all those who are hungry and plan to eat with us to Register by April 3 Passover Patrons $70| Adults $40 Children (Ages 7-12) $28 | Young Children (Ages 2-6) $8 No charge for those under Age 2. Finances should never be a barrier to participation at Temple Israel. If you'd like to sponsor a meal for another attendee, select the Passover Patron purchase option. Passover Patron level tickets allow us to stick to our budget while still providing a lovely meal for all - we thank you in advance for helping us subsidize this Community Seder. Dinner Menu: Garlic Herb Chicken, Lemon & Herb Salmon, Matzah Ball soup, Gefillte Fish, Honey Glazed Carrots, Broccoli, Potato Kugel, Macaroons, as well as a traditional Seder Plate. (Vegan Choice: Portobello Steak) If you have any questions, please contact Director of Engagement and Events, Mindi Marburg.
