Interfaith Dialogue Experience featuring Rabbi Dr. Reuven Firestone and the Emerging Clergy Cohort: Lunch & Learn: “Abraham: the First Jew? First Christian? First Muslim?”

Thursday, October 16, 2025 24 Tishrei 5786

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

We’re excited to announce Bridges of Understanding: an Interfaith Dalogue Experience coming up October 16th - 19th! This visit will feature none other than Rabbi Dr. Reuven Firestone, and the Emerging Clergy cohort!

Rabbi Dr. Reuven Firestone is well known for his interfaith work through a historical approach to interfaith texts. He’ll be leading workshops, structured discussions, and fireside chats throughout the weekend, including a sermon at Countryside Community Church and shabbat services at Temple Israel. As a professor of medieval Judaism and Islam at Hebrew Union College, he will draw on his decades of research and expertise to guide thoughtful exchanges on topics like the shared roots of the Abrahamic faiths, undertaking interfaith dialogue, and applying spiritual teachings to contemporary social issues.

The Emerging Clergy cohort is made up of clergy members from across the country, who will be visiting Tri-Faith to learn more about interfaith dialogue to take back to their communities.

While most events are free, registration is required and there is a suggested donation of $20.
