A new adult education class, Gender Dynamics of the Israel-Hamas War, will be offered for community members for five Tuesday evening sessions February 4through March 4, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.  Dr. Jeannette Gabriel, Director of the Schwalb Center for Israel & Jewish Studies at UNO will be teaching the course.  The course will cover topics including women as participants in war both from Israel and Hamas and Hezbollah, an examination of the Women and Peace Hypothesis which argues women are inherently more peaceful than men and experiments of peace building leading up to the October 7^thHamas attacks, Israeli and Palestinian women and LGBTQIA+ rights movements, and rape claims against both Israeli and Palestinians as a tool of war.   Join us in person or by the Zoom link .
