Francesco Lotoro is a pianist, composer, and conductor in addition to being a piano professor at the “Niccolò Piccinni” Music Conservatory of Bari, Italy. For the past 30 years, he has tirelessly been involved in recovering, studying, revising, archiving, executing, recording, and promoting thousands of works of concentrationary music. He has recovered over 8,000 scores – often produced in a condition of deprivation of the most elementary human rights, in concentration, extermination, and civil and military imprisonment camps all over the world between 1933  to 1953.

We are excited and honored to bring this series, A Concert of Lights, to Omaha. There are two opportunities to see Maestro Lotoro during his time here. Both nights will be an opportunity to honor composers who created art even when finding any beauty in the world seemed impossible. While both concerts are free to attend, seating is limited. We are asking that people reserve their seats by April 24.

We will be hosting a Youth Education Concert. We are encouraging students to come with their parents to join us in this meaningful and powerful experience. On top of being able to hear a select group of compositions, there will also be discussion of these pieces and their legacy.

While all ages are welcome, we know the subject matter can be heavy and recommend this show to those in grade 7 or older and their adults.
